Why "Naked Lobsters"
A lobster grows by shedding its shell. For a while after, it has no shell at all. It's soft, exposed, more vulnerable than it's ever been, before the new one hardens into place.
We named this company after that moment; that space, between shells, when a lobster is truly naked.
You may be in a similar place right now. You're between the person you've been and the person you're becoming. Caught between a version of your life that no longer fits and in that moment, you feel exposed. unarmoured and uncertain. That's not weakness, that's exactly where growth happens.
Most people spend that stretch feeling like something's gone wrong with them. We don't think it has. We think that's what real change actually feels like from the inside, and that it deserves somewhere steady to happen, rather than being rushed through or hidden away.
That's what this space is for. You don't have to be alone in it.

About Us
We're Caroline and Iain. Between us, we've spent years being the kind of successful that looks right from the outside while quietly running out of energy, identity, and joy on the inside.
We started Naked Lobsters because we lived this, and because we kept meeting other people quietly living it too. Capable, thoughtful people who seemed fine on paper and weren't, waiting for a permission that was never going to arrive from outside themselves.

iain brings steadiness, grounding, and practical integration. He helps people feel capable again in everyday life, building rhythm, confidence, energy and a sense of being held within something real.

Caroline's shell cracked the moment she was made redundant from her 'stable' job. Her turning point came ten days later, driving down the Pacific Coast Highway, when the sudden absence of a job title made it impossible to keep ignoring what the work had been costing her: adventure.
Iain's came through his own fear-to-freedom work; the kind that cracks open what you'd quietly decided wasn't possible for you anymore.
Both of us have diverted off the traditional script: career ladder, marriage, kids... the usual milestones lined up in the usual order. But that meant we had to work out for ourselves what a meaningful life actually looks like - when it isn't handed to you by convention.
That's not a detour from what we do. It's where this work came from.
What We're Here To Do
We help people who sense something's off, even when they can't quite name what,
find their way back to what actually matters to them, and build a life around that
instead of around what they were supposed to want.
We don't think we have the answers people come to us for.
We think those answers are already there. We just help people trust what they find.
